Escorts or transports patients as needed. Assists patient in walking to prevent accidents by falling, or transports non-ambulatory patient with wheel chair. Transports patient, alone or with assistance into bed or wheel chair to designed areas within the facility. Transporter provides lifting support for patients when ever needed in all departments. Assists nurses and other health care providers with patient transfers and transports as requested. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing at a competent level.
Must be able to work various hours, holidays and weekends if needed.
Education: High school graduation or equilvalent and completion of a California Certified Nursing Assistant education program. BLS, and Code Grey. Must have at least one year experience in direct patient care/clinical operations.Must have experience with complex/dependent patient equipment and techniques.
